Online singing lessons over Zoom

1-to-1 vocal coaching from wherever you are — same coach, same craft, same care as in-person, with the flexibility of learning from home.

How online lessons work

Everything you need, from your living room

Online singing lessons at Sound & Soul Studio are structured exactly like in-person sessions — warm-up, technical focus, song work, and a plan for the week. You keep the recording of every session so you can revisit exercises and progress in your own time.

Who online works well for

  • Adults with unpredictable schedules — sessions can shift week-to-week.
  • Students outside South West London or overseas.
  • Teens age 8+ who are comfortable on video calls.
  • Anyone who wants recorded lessons to reference later.

What we cover online

  • Full vocal technique — breath, tone, range, mix, stamina.
  • Repertoire coaching and song interpretation.
  • Songwriting support — top-line, lyric, arrangement.
  • Performance and recording prep, including home-studio guidance.
Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything students ask before their first online session.

Do online singing lessons actually work?

Yes — online lessons are just as effective for technique, repertoire, songwriting and performance prep. What you lose in room acoustics you gain in scheduling flexibility and full session recordings you can rewatch anytime.

What platform do you use?

Lessons run over Zoom on a stable connection. You'll get a recurring calendar invite with the same link each week. Sessions can be recorded (video + audio) and shared with you afterwards on request.

What equipment do I need for online lessons?

A laptop or tablet, headphones and a quiet room is enough to start. Built-in laptop microphones work well. If you want to upgrade later, a simple USB microphone (£60–£100) noticeably improves vocal capture — happy to recommend specific models.

How much do online lessons cost?

Single online sessions are £45. Multi-week online packages (4, 6, 8, 10 weeks) reduce the per-session rate — full detail on the Packages page. Every student starts with a free 30-minute consultation.

Are online lessons suitable for children?

Yes — from around age 8 upwards. Younger children usually get more from in-person sessions where movement, games and hands-on demonstration are easier.

Can I switch between online and in-person?

Yes. Many students mix formats — for example, in-person once a fortnight in Wimbledon with an online lesson in between. Package pricing adjusts to the mix.
