Programmes

Three ways we work with schools

1. In-school 1-to-1 singing lessons

Weekly individual lessons delivered on-site during the school day. Perfect for pupils preparing for auditions, exams, school shows, or those who benefit from focused one-to-one attention. Room and timetable arranged with your music lead.

2. After-school singing clubs & choirs

Weekly group sessions building ensemble singing, healthy vocal technique and genuine confidence. Programmes are age-appropriate (KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4) and end each term with a short showcase.

3. Summer schools & one-off workshops

Week-long summer intensives, single-day workshops, holiday clubs and whole-year assemblies. Ideal for widening participation and giving pupils a memorable creative experience outside the standard timetable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions from music leads, heads and business managers.

What school outreach programmes do you offer?

Three core formats: 1-to-1 singing lessons within the school day, weekly after-school singing clubs and choirs, and summer school workshops. Programmes can be booked as a single term, a full academic year, or a one-off intensive week.

Are you DBS checked and safeguarding trained?

Yes. Phoebe holds an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate and works to full safeguarding standards. Full paperwork (DBS, public liability insurance, safeguarding policy) is shared with schools during onboarding.

How much does a school programme cost?

Pricing depends on programme length, group size and travel. As a guide, an after-school singing club typically runs at a per-term rate that scales with pupil numbers; 1-to-1 in-school lessons follow the standard lesson rate with a small travel supplement. Bespoke quotes provided after a short scoping call.

Which schools do you work with and where?

Sound & Soul Studio partners with primary and secondary schools across South West London and Surrey — including Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Kingston, Richmond, Sutton, Croydon and further into Surrey. New partnerships are always welcome.

Can you run a one-off workshop or a summer school?

Yes — we regularly run one-off singing workshops, whole-year assemblies, and week-long summer schools. A recent example is the Musical Summer Workshop (age 7–12) in Wimbledon.

What outcomes do you deliver for pupils?

Measurable improvement in vocal confidence, ensemble singing, breath and pitch work — plus the wider benefits schools care about: increased participation, calmer transitions, and a visible boost in self-esteem for quieter pupils. Every programme ends with a short showcase or shared piece.
